What are Pennekamp Party Books? Party Books are Pennekamp parent-hosted parties that are held throughout the school year. They are a wonderful way to meet other Pennekamp families and they offer a fun variety of themes and activities.

How do I buy tickets? Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 7th. An email will be sent ahead of time with a SignUpGenius link to purchase tickets. The SignUpGenius link will go live at 10 AM. Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis and many sell out quickly, so mark your calendar or set a reminder!

Where does the money go? 100% of ticket sales go to Pennekamp, so it’s a great way to have fun with others in our Pennekamp community while giving back to our school! All party hosts generously pay for all costs out of their own pockets.

Please note - Due to high demand, ticket sales and attendance are limited to current Pennekamp families only. These parties historically sell out, and we want to ensure that as many Pennekamp families can participate as possible.

Refund Policy - There are no refunds for tickets purchased. If a guest is unable to attend after purchasing a ticket, they can choose to give or sell their ticket to another Pennekamp family or consider it a donation to the school. You can also contact the Party Book Committee and they will contact our waitlist and attempt to arrange a ticket exchange.

2023-24 PENNEKAMP PARTY BOOKS:

3rd Annual PK Parent Trivia Night - Thursday, October 26 (6:00 - 9:00 PM)

Join fellow Pennekamp parents for our annual night of trivia fun and silent auction at Common Space Brewery! Halloween costumes are encouraged (it’s for the kids!) and prizes will be awarded to the winning trivia team and best couple and group costumes. Ticket includes 2 drinks (beer/wine), dessert, and 4 rounds of trivia. A food truck will be on-site for additional purchases. We hope to see everyone there!

Getting Dicey and Spicy - Tuesday, January 23  (7:00 PM)

Make no mistake...this is not your mama's Bunco! Get ready to roll the dice and mingle with your fellow PK moms at this fun-filled fiesta. Tacos, cocktails (did someone say spicy margaritas?!), and a great time will be served. This is a fun and easy-to-play game that anyone can play. Prizes for the winner and the biggest loser.

Pennekamp in a Pickle(Ball) - Sunday, January 28 (3:30 - 6:00 PM)

Come pickle with Pennekamp parents in America's fastest-growing sport...PICKLEBALL! Hosted at the Manhattan Beach Country Club, this pickleball tournament will be a blast! The winning team will relish in the bragging rights. Singles or doubles are welcome. Cash bar is available.

Botox, Beauty and Bubbles - Friday, February 2 (6:00 PM)

It’s a Galentine’s event that you won’t want to miss! Escape the kids and spend a fun evening with the gals at The Jaconi’s and receive either up to 25 units of Botox or the coveted “Glass Skin Facial”. Services will be performed by Dr. Lisa Cook and Janée Malan, PA-C, who includes celebrities as her clientele (sorry we can’t say who...HIPAA!). In between services and time with the gals, you’ll enjoy getting pampered with massages, bubbles, bites, and more. It’s a night of beauty and fun that will leave you walking away feeling relaxed, looking refreshed, and with a swag bag to boot!

Jazzercise Glow Workout - Friday, February 9 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

Get ready to move and groove as we dim the lights down low for a workout you won’t want to miss! Come get your glow on and experience a Jazzercise workout that includes a sculpting strength set. It’ll be a team-taught, heart-pumping workout that’s guaranteed to be a good time too! Glow accessories/makeup and light refreshments included. No experience is necessary and all are welcome.

Casino Night at the Cohens - Saturday, February 10 (6:00 PM)

Ante up, Pennekamp Dragons, and don't let anyone call your bluff! Come hold 'em, fold 'em, and enjoy delicious appetizers and drinks. Your player ticket reserves your seat at the poker table where an additional $100 buy-in will be collected on-site. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will each take home a piece of the pot! Non-poker player guests are welcome to purchase a ticket to take part in some fun, food, and drinks.

Light Up the Night on 3rd Street: Progressive Party & Silent Disco

Friday, March 1 (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

Join Pennekamp parents as they "Light up the Night" down 3rd Street. The Progressive Party will feature multiple stops and include dinner, drinks, flip-cup, and a silent disco! Wear attire that will shine bright and light up the night!

Pitch Perfect on Peck (Karaoke)- Saturday, March 9 (4:00-9:00 PM)

Tune up that voice and get ready to take it back to the 90s when MTV was always on the screen, rockstars ruled and you dreamed of being one of them. Join your Peck Avenue Posse at the Beatty residence and get ready for a fun-filled night of karaoke, dancing, food, and refreshments. Be prepared to bust a move and sing along as you and your fellow Dragons belt out all the classic karaoke tunes. Singing and costumes are encouraged but not required.

8th Street Worldly Wine Walk  - Friday, March 22 (6:00 PM)

Grab your wine glass and walking shoes to take a culinary journey around the world in our own backyard. Each stop on the 8th Street Wine Walk will feature food and drink pairings from different regions of the world! The walk will begin at the Wests and then proceed west down 8th Street to the homes of the Wades, Cohens, and Woods/Fraunces. Cheers!

Taco ‘Bout Tequila- Friday, May 3 (6:30 PM)

Hey PK Dads! This is nacho ordinary tequila tasting! Join fellow Pennekamp dads to sample a range of tequilas as you learn what distinguishes each from the others. Hear about the distillation process from an industry expert and discover what makes your next favorite tequila so special. Enjoy a taco dinner and dessert to round out this festive and unique experience.
